| Hey! The forums could use an extra feature - a return route to the category page...like a button next to the "new comment" button. And I agree with northernspirit here: http://www.tasmaniaunited.com.au/forum/topic/view/5/ Add comments | 24th March 2009 | 13 |

Grubbposted at 11:07PM on 26th Nov, 2008 Yes please. I have to use my back button on the browser too much and it's confusing. I hope this team gets off the ground!Chuqposted at 12:56AM on 28th Nov, 2008 Further suggestion for the forum - support for formatting of URLs etc? Also a bug that I have mentioned in another thread, the "recently posted" dates do not count initial posts, only replies to existing topics.stoogestposted at 6:49AM on 28th Nov, 2008 I'd suggest a revamp of the forums as it is way too clunky and lacks options (eg. ability to subscribe). There seem to be quite a few standard forum templates used on the web that work well.adminposted at 2:31AM on 30th Nov, 2008 The feedback on forum bugs and suggestions have been passed to our developers. Hopefully you will notice a couple of changes already.Chuqposted at 5:20AM on 2nd Dec, 2008 Thanks admin, I have noticed a few changes and fixes! Another request - could the threads be sorted by date, most recently updated at the top?Chuqposted at 1:14AM on 18th Mar, 2009 Regarding sorting by date, is it possible at all? Now the list of threads in "General Discussion" has got so long, It is difficult reading down the list, looking for anything with "minutes" or "hours" in the 'last post' column, trying to think when I was last at the site. Highlighting unread threads in bold would also be useful. I know "the developers want more money" has been used as a reason for other faults in the system, but these are really basic features that exist at every single other forum that I use (and that's a lot!), I would think that if the developers haven't impemented these they haven't finished the initial job! stoogestposted at 6:16AM on 18th Mar, 2009 Again, I would suggest the phpBB framework. Seems to work for everyone else on the net. adminposted at 10:55PM on 18th Mar, 2009 The PHPBB models I agree are the best, unfortunately they are incompatible with the engine the developers used to build this site. We are stuck with what we have. The sorting capacity has been requested and it will probably come down to costs. stoogestposted at 6:41AM on 2nd Dec, 2008 I'm no IT guru so I'm not sure if these are free or not, but the phpBB forum templates are pretty good... http://www.templatemonster.com/category/forums/tazziedevilposted at 7:03AM on 22nd Jan, 2009 as Chuq mentions, I'd love to see the most recently posted on thread bumped to the top of the page, so you know what's been added to. Secondly, perhaps thread titles that have been updated since you last read them could appear in bold, so you know where you've been. Lastly a 'reply' button, so you could reply to a specific post - this would then show the original post as a quote, with your reply to it below.ntguyposted at 3:26AM on 24th Mar, 2009 Thanks ADMIN for getting the latest post to the top of the list... it is so much easier. Chuqposted at 11:36AM on 24th Mar, 2009 I agree, many thanks admin! Much easier to find recently active topics now :) |

Secondly, I'd like to see forum posts allow for spaces and missed lines. For eg. I started a new paragraph here, it'd be nice to see it in the post. It makes larger comments easier reading.» Reply to this comment
