Due to these tough economic times ,the amount of young Tasmanian babe models put on to Centrelink payments doesn't bear thinking about. In order to arrest this unwanted development I propose that the Tasmania United task force put plans into place a.s.a.p. to set about forming a cheerleading squad to gee up a future Tasmanian team for their home games, as well as educate the supporters in the latest moves to try at their next night club outing. It goes without saying that I will be more than willing to give up my time to auditon these young lovelies (yeah, it's a tough job but someone has to !), but I'd like to hear what other forum members think. Over to you ! Add comments |

Chuqposted at 12:20PM on 17th Dec, 2008 I agree with ndireen.. cheerleaders (in the girls with pom-pom's) - not really a football thing. Cheer leaders, as in, people who lead on groups of people cheering - like someone co-ordinating the supporters group - is a good idea!kiallrposted at 10:37PM on 17th Dec, 2008 Nup, using scantly clad girls only works for sports too boring to hold the attention of the average fan. Plus, I'd suggest Tas Utd would be better off being the 'family club', make it a club not just for all of the state, but for each member of the family. It would be great for the club to really push for the support of women and children. dechardonayposted at 11:11PM on 12th Jan, 2009 leave cheerleaders to gold coast and sydney - show some class, like we know you have, Tassie.tazziedevilposted at 6:17AM on 22nd Jan, 2009 Haha Tazztell! Great idea, love watching them, but don't know about for the A-league. And that goosebumps image is a real downer.... |

Umm... I haven't been to any A-League matches where they have had cheerleaders. Sounds more like American football or basketball to me. Plus the goose flesh down here just wont be a good look - unless of course they all dress up in thermals in the team colours!! :)
