Hey guys tomorrow night is a great chance for us to really support our team and I want everyone to be out in numbers. It makes it hard that we don't have any clothing, scares or beanies but we do have banners.

All us active supporters need to be together and chant for out Tassie team. In the stadium just look for the banners and the noise. Have we got many active Tassie supporters that are going to be there ???

Well I think you and your mates did a great job on Sunday of making a lot of noise!  (Plus those guys down the front - who were they?  From Melb?)

Oh except the one guy who said "I'm not going to stop supporting Victory, I just want more games in Tas!"  That's not the spirit! :P

Thanks, we tried hard on Sunday and it turned out to be a great day (tough luck the football wasn’t as good as I would have liked but that happens!) Yeah the guys in front of us where Melbourne Victory supporters, a few where from Melbourne and a few where from Tassie.

The guy who said he isn’t going to support Tassie he only said that cause he thought that you were a Melbourne Victory supporter!

I turned up at about 6.50pm and the queue to get in was out the ground, along the road and around the corner of Anfield St!

When I went through the gate at about 7 there were three queues, the one I went through was "exact change only" people - I just handed over the $10 and walked in, didn't get a ticket, so those people weren't counted.

Walter's match report said crowd was 1768, that would be the ticketed number - the actual number was obviously a lot higher.  Callan Paske's Mercury article said over 2000, which sounds right to me, it could be as high as 2500!

Nevertheless it was a huge crowd for a small ground.

I think that there would have been around 2 thousand people there. It was packed and I believe that playing the game at a small ground (KGV) helped with the atmosphere and made it feel like it was a really big crowd. To get around 2 thousand people on a cold Tuesday night in Glenorchy is a really good turn out. It was a good game and Tassie played really well. (Sorry again Chuq that I wasn’t with you at the game-I just found some old mates I hadn’t seen in years! Also Chuq in this article is says about wanting a another game at the end of the season http://www.tasmaniaunited.com.au/news/post/mariners-stay/ )
