Welcome to Launceston! Difficult to find a reliable pub that will show games every week, but possibly Gunners Arms. Usually if the pub is quietish and they have Fox Sports on and showing something else, you can just ask the bar staff to flick onto the right channel.

Cheers! Does the Gunners Arms have Foxtel? I'm fairly sure they didn't when I was visitng last year. No harm in checking again I guess. I ended up watching games at the pub near the Boags brewery. Can't remember what it's called, the one that Flip used to be connected to. Anyway, they were happy to put the football on for me but the AFL season had finished and they were quite clear that if any "footy" was on it would take precedence.

I'll check out Gunners Arms again. Thanks!

I happened to be in Launceston during the Australia v USA friendly pre-World Cup.  I wandered down to the Gunners Arms to watch it (as I had been told previously that they were a "football-friendly" pub) but they didn't have Fox Sports!

At the Tas United meetup there before the 2009 pre-season friendly, we were told that they would be TUFC's official "home pub" for Launceston - showing TUFC's away matches, and Hobart "home" matches.  Someone should tell them the A-League is not on FTA!  (Either that or they figure they will sort that out after we are accepted!)

Wasn't aware of not having Fox SPorts actually. If they won't get it, then it should not be the preferred pub for TUFC supporters I don't think. The pub you are thinking of would be Lloyds Hotel. The one across the road, Commercial Hotel is another with Fox I believe.
