I have been thinking that a great way to expand the a-league would be to start by growing the National Youth League. It would be a great starting base for a Tasmania United team and from that we would be better prepared for our senior team in the a-league.

It would allow the Tasmanian public to see games most weekends and some of us fanatics to go and support our team away. I think that this would also work for our rival bids in Canberra etc. The team could play its games at KGV and North Hobart Oval, as well as some of the bigger games up in Launceston at Aurora Stadium to give our Launceston supporters some games! If we showed great ambition in our youth team then we would show the FFA that we really deserve an a-league team!

Yes I agree. This is the right thing to do. We need to give the developing fellas a way in. I want to go and watch them - I did before. As we saw with the recent Tassie boys they can more than hold their own and we have a couple of good manager/coaches. These boys showed they do not fear competition and neither they should. This should be happening now on a regular basis to create a base for an A League side irregardless of what happens with the TUFC. C'mon Mr Boulos get the wheels turning please at FFT.

Yeah for sure. Youth League games would be a great start. I also think a W-League team (also like Canberra) would be a great help to an A-League team campaign

Yeah a women’s side would also be great. I hope we can have more youth friendlies as well as some woman friendlies. It would be great for our bid, and women’s football is growing a lot now.
