I notice Nick McKim has made a statement today:

THE TASMANIAN GREENS WILL:
Deliver $50, 000 to assist with the continued development of a case to put to the FFA, and
an assessment of stadium facilities.
Support initial government financial assistance for an A-League team should the licence
application be successful.

This is definitely a quite pleasing follow on from the current govt announcement. It is an indication of the growing interest in our sport and the immense benefits that can flow from participation in the ever popular embryonic A League. It has been hard to extricate statement6s of support from anyone over the recent two years but amazing what elections bring out. I am sure that even now the political humbugs and hanger ons who develop the policies have no conception yet as to what it all can mean in a bigger picture by being part of a world game. The immense publicity and media attention that can arise is something that publicity agents and media managers can only dream about - and it is generated freely by the world press.
