The AFC has issued its decision on Phoenix being able to play in the ACL until 2011 and the fact that they will have to be an Australian registered team and have nearly all Australian players post 2012 for our teams to be able to qualify for the ACL.

This would be my last preference unless there is a bag of money in the Phoenix boardroom then beggars can't be choosers. I reckon though they will be relocating to South Coast or Canberra which still leaves us with our foot in the door - just. Foxhawkposted at 1:45AM on 19th Dec, 2009 its my last choice as well. If it was to happen I would prefer it to be a case of us buying the licence that Wellington holds. Essentially TUFC buys the club outright and moves it. |

Maybe Phoenix will transfer to Tasmania as Foxhawk has been suggesting before.
