Premise of the article - which code is best (has been done to death).

Stated that in 2012 Australia will have 49 professional football clubs!  An astounding number for our population.

Imagine if we only had one code of football - it would be the equivalent of three tiers at 16 clubs each, or four tiers of 12 clubs.

According to Archie Fraser, A-League head of Operations:

Expansion plans?  "We've probably got Canberra as our next potential (site) and then beyond that we would have to look at whether Tasmania would come into the mix."

Good news - we are mentioned and Woolongong is not.  Bad news - they are just "looking at" Tasmania at the moment.

Anyway, I thought it was worth mentioning!
