Tuned into Radio Australia's World Football Weekly program earlier today and Steve Darby, current Thailand national team assistant coach was being interviewed. He was asked his favourite holiday destination, to which he replied "Hobart", going on to say how much he loved Tasmania. Amusingly he said that he would swim across Bass Strait if Tasmania received an A-League license. So there you go, a respected football coach working in Asia who may be interested in promoting and/or being involved in a Tasmanian A-League side. You never know. Steve mentioned that he has an Australian passport as well. I thought his comments would be interesting to all here and it seems he has a palpable love for Tasmania. The program will be replayed both today (Friday) and Saturday if anyone is interested in listening. I wrote about Steve's comments on my football blog here. Add comments |

Sounds interesting. The more attention the better I think.
